MISSION:

To assist residents in making successful transitions back into their communities by providing therapeutic counseling, social, and employment skills. Valdosta State Prison is the host facility.

HOUSING:

Two dorms with 3 males per room and one open dorm with 14 beds.

WORK DETAILS:

Residents are assigned to the work release program throughout the South Georgia and North Florida area. 2 residents assigned to assist Georgia State Patrol with sanitation and grounds maintenance. 6 residents assigned in-house to assist with long-term maintenance.

• Academic: General Education Diploma, Adult Basic Education, Literacy Remedial
• Counseling: Re-Entry Skills, Motivation For Change, Community Pass, Therapeutic Work Release, Substance Abuse Education, Thinking For A Change, Community Finance, Matrix Module Relapse Prevention, Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous
• Recreation: General Recreation, Physical Health
• Religious Activities: Various Worship Services, Bible Study, Community Volunteers

DIRECTIONS:

Take I-75S to Exit #18. Turn left onto GA Hwy 133/St. Augustine Road and proceed east about 3.5 miles. Turn left on Gil Harbin Industrial Blvd and travel about 1.5 miles and Valdosta TC will be on the right.
