Contraband Arrest at Multiple State Prisons
On December 30 at Georgia State Prison, the canine unit conducted a traffic stop near the facility. The driver, Jeffrey Toodle, and the passenger, Dale Brady, consented to a search of their vehicle. The search recovered the following: 30 small bundles of tobacco, and 10 cell phones. Civilians Toodle and Brady were arrested and transported to the Tattnall County Jail.
On December 30 at Georgia State Prison, security staff conducted a traffic stop near the facility. The driver, Michelle Burch, advised that she dropped off civilian Jordan Gooch near the maintenance shop. The canine unit conducted a search of the area and recovered three bags that contained the following contraband: one methamphetamine pipe, six lighters, thirteen packs of rolling paper, six packets of yeast, five rolls of electrical tape, approximately 336 grams of smokeless tobacco, and approximately 15 pounds of tobacco. Civilians Gooch and Burch were arrested and transported to the Tattnall County Jail.
On December 29 at Washington State Prison, At 1350 hours, security staff observed possible contraband on visitor Willie Wilburn. She consented to a search of her person, which yielded 22 bundles wrapped in black tape containing 722 grams of marijuana, 1,016 grams of tobacco, 30 grams of an unknown white substance, 2 packs of cigarillos and several lose rolling papers. Visitor Wilburn was arrested by Washington County Sheriff's Office.
On December 29 at Calhoun State Prison, Officer Michelle Jones was placed under arrest by Calhoun County Sheriff's Office after 3 ounces of tobacco were discovered on her person.
