Contraband Arrest at Multiple State Prison
On January 1 at Georgia State Prison, following visitation, an offender was discovered to have 25 oval shaped pills in his possession. Visitor Stephanie Gadberry was placed under arrest by Tattnall County Sheriff's Office.
On December 31 at Wilcox State Prison, visitor Sharri O'Daniel was observed passing contraband to an offender. After searching the offender, 2 bundles of an unknown substance was found. Visitor O’Daniel was placed under arrest by Abbeville Police Department.
On December 30 at Georgia State Prison, security staff noticed a bulge on visitor Keisha Smith’s person. Visitor Smith attempted to discard 2 packages of tobacco. The contraband was collected and Visitor Smith was placed under arrest by Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office.
On December 29 at Augusta State Medical Prison, Canine Units were altered to contraband in Officer William Moss’ vehicle. The contraband consisted of .06 grams of marijuana and an unopened bottle of alcohol. Officer Moss was placed under arrest by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
On December 26 at Wilcox State Prison, visitor Cashley Jordan was observed by security staff passing an unknown amount of tobacco and a pack of rolling papers to an offender. Visitor Jordan was arrested by Wilcox County Sheriff's Office.
On December 23 at Smith State Prison, security staff observed a smell of marijuana coming from visitor Monique Jones. Visitor Jones was searched and 2 balls of marijuana were found on her person and an unknown amount was found in her vehicle. Visitor Jones was placed under arrest by the GDC Criminal Investigation Division and transported by the Glennville Police Department.
On December 19 at Ware State Prison, Officer Richard Crawford attempted to enter the facility with 2 family size bags of potato chips. The bags were searched and officers found, 2 bundles wrapped in electrical tape containing a green leafy substance, 4 packs of cigarettes, 1 bag of loose tobacco, 4 small bottles of air freshener and 2 lighters. Officer Crawford was arrested by the Institutional Investigator and transported Ware County Sheriff’s Office.
