If an employee, volunteer, visitor, or offender in our facilities is found to have or be transporting contraband, they are arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Georgia Law O.C.G.A. 42-5-18 Regarding Contraband
If you bring contraband, including cell phones, into any GDC facility, you will be prosecuted. Georgia law (O.C.G.A. 42-5-18) requires a penalty of one to five years in prison for any individual who introduces this contraband into a prison facility, and/or provides these items to an offender, as well as to any offender found with any of these items in their posession while under incarceration.
