1) On April 9, 2012, Rogers State Prison K9 Sergeant pulled over a suspicious vehicle. Civilians Christopher Smith and Lacy Ware consented to a search of their vehicle. A black trash bag was found containing 16 rolls of suspected marijuana weighing approximately one (1) pound, one (1) roll of electrical tape and five (5) clear plastic bags. Civilians Smith and Ware were arrested.
2) On April 10, 2012, the Smith State Prison K9 unit was conducting vehicle searches. A vehicle was observed attempting to enter the guard line, coming to a stop then suddenly proceeded to Hwy 301 towards Glennville. The K9 unit followed the vehicle and contacted the Glennville Police Department. Glennville PD assisted with stopping and searching the vehicle. Five (5) ziplock bags containing tobacco were found under the seat. The driver, Tammy Talbot, was arrested by the Glennville Police Department.
3) On April 14, 2012, after a routine vehicle search by Hancock State Prison K9 and the Hancock Sheriff's Office, Visitor Alysa Rone was arrested. Officers found two (2) roaches, a THC grinder, a small maul and a cigar cutter.
4) On April 16, 2012, the perimeter vehicle at Lee State Prison noticed a vehicle parked near the Tactical Squad/K9 Storage Facility. Officers approached the vehicle and found three people inside. Tamara Taylor, Ramirez Lowe and Taylor's six year old son. After a search of their vehicle, Officers found two (2) medium sized boxes of Bugler tobacco and approximately ten (10) golf ball sized bundles of tobacco rolled in black electrical tape. Additionally, a backpack filled with baggies of tobacco was found near the guard line boundary of Lee State Prison. Taylor and Lowe were arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Deputies.
