Forsyth - The Dougherty County Superior Court has ordered the execution of convicted murderer Marcus Ray Johnson. The Court ordered the Department to carry out the execution on a date between October 5, 2011 and October 12, 2011. Commissioner Brian Owens has set the date for October 5, 2011 at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson at 7:00 p.m.
Johnson was convicted for the 1994 murder of Angela Sizemore. If executed, he will be the 30th inmate put to death by lethal injection.
