New Statewide Manager of Day Reporting Centers Named

Rosalyn Davis Appointed

Forsyth Commissioner Brian Owens announced Rosalyn Davis as Statewide Manager of Day Reporting Centers effective May 16, 2011.  Davis will oversee the Department’s thirteen Day Reporting Centers.

“Rosalyn is known for starting new initiatives and going above what is expected of her,” said Commissioner Brian Owens.  “I am confident she will excel in this position,” added Owens.

Davis joined the Department in 2000 as a Probation Officer in Atlanta.  She has also served as a Probation Officer in the Winder Probation Office and Probation Officer III in the Macon Probation Office.  Davis was named Probation Officer III of the Year at the Department’s Annual Awards Ceremony in 2009.  She most recently served as Macon Day Reporting Center Administrator.  Davis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Fort Valley State University in 1992 and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Albany State College in 1995.     

The Department of Corrections is the fifth largest prison system in the United States and is responsible for supervising nearly 60,000 state prisoners and over 150,000 probationers. It is the largest law enforcement agency in the state with approximately 13,000 employees.
