Offender Affairs and Ombudsman
The Office of the Ombudsman acts as a bridge between concerned civilians and the Department of Corrections by gathering information that potentially uncovers and reduces problems within the corrections system thus ensuring the rights and safety of offenders are protected.
Family Day
Family Day is part of the Department's continuing effort to provide customer service to the families of offenders in the GDC system. We realize that family members are our customers and our goal is to provide the best customer service to serve faster, friendlier and easier.

Certified FVIPs are designed to rehabilitate family violence offenders and are charged with prioritizing victim safety and participant accountability. Judges, prosecutors, probation, and victim advocates initiated the FVIP certification process to create consistency and accountability for FVIPs. Family Violence Intervention is NOT Anger Management.
