MISSION:

Ensure public safety and effectively house offenders while operating a safe and secure facility. Also provide housing for medically infirmed, ambulatory, non-ambulatory, geriatric, blind/legally blind, deaf/hearing impaired, mental health Level I & II and sex offender inmates. Median age is 52.

HOUSING:

Consists of eight dormitories averaging 70 beds per dormitory. A modular unit has four dormitories with 25 beds per dormitory. Eight cells used for both isolation/segregation.

• Counseling: Family Violence I & II, Victim Impact, Corrective Thinking I & II, Health Awareness, Group Therapy, Addiction Issues, Post Traumatic Stress, TransParenting, Incarcerated Veterans Transitional Program, Lifer's Group, AA/NA, Mental Health and M4C
• Recreation: Leisure Education, American Sign Language, Hearing/Speech & Visually Impaired Sessions, Hobby Craft, Vital Issues Project, Current Events, Baldwin County Citizen Advocacy, Spanish Classes and Horticulture
• Religious Activities: Confronting Self Concept, Grief Resolution, Kairos, Taleem, Jumah, American Indian, Celebrate Recovery, Deaf Prison Ministry and other Denominational Groups
• Vocational/OJT: Laundry, Barber, Food Service and Braille Transcription, Custodial & Building Maintenance, Nurses Aide Training

DIRECTIONS:

Take I-20 east to Exit 114, Madison-Eatonton and turn right onto Hwy 441 South to Milledgeville. When you see the Milledgeville Mall turn right onto Hwy 441 South Bypass. Go through two red lights (4-5 miles), at the third traffic light take a left onto Allen Memorial Drive. Go approximately two miles where it will end at a caution light, go right for approximately 2/10 of a mile. At the next caution light, turn left onto Hardwick Street. Hardwick Street ends at a fork in front of a large white building, turn right onto Lawrence Road, this will dead-end into the parking lot of Men's State Prison.
