MISSION:

Ensure public safety and effectively house offenders while operating a safe and secure facility by housing close security offenders. Host facility for Western PRC.

HOUSING:

Consists of eight buildings each divided into two separate units with 48 cells per unit. One building's unit houses 46 isolation beds & two safe cells and the other unit houses 48 double occupancy cells of segregation beds. Ten additional beds are at the Fire Station.

DIRECTIONS:

Take I-75 south to Exit 127. Go west (right) on Hwy 26 through Montezuma (through two traffic lights). At intersection of Hwys 26 and 49, turn left. Macon State Prison is approximately ¼ miles on the right.
