MISSION:

Ensure public safety and effectively house offenders while operating a safe and secure facility by housing close security inmates.

HOUSING:

Consists of nine buildings each divided into two separate units with 48 cells per unit. One building's unit houses 46 isolation beds & two safe cells and the other unit houses 48 double occupancy cells of segregation beds and Fast Track Unit Open Dormitory with four Pods which consists of 64 beds in each. Ten additional beds are at the Fire Station. Eight Beds Infirmary.

DIRECTIONS:

Take I-75S to Exit 127. Go west (right) on Hwy 26 through Montezuma (through two traffic lights). At intersection of Highways 26 and 49, turn left. Macon State Prison is approximately ¼ miles on the right.
