MISSION:

Ensure public safety by effectively operating a safe and secure facility while housing medium General Population, mental health and the most recalcitrant and aggressive male adult offenders incarcerated in the Georgia Prison system.

HOUSING:

Consists of nine buildings containing four two-tiered cellblocks with single cells. Cellblocks are organized into a general population unit, special management units, MH/MR Units, and a 26 bed surgical unit. Offenders assigned to the Fire Team reside away from the main compound at the Fire station.

DIRECTIONS:

Take I-75S to Macon, then I-16 toward Savannah to exit 98, Stillmore/Aline Exit. Turn right onto Hwy 57 south to Reidsville. At first traffic light, turn right onto Hwy 280. Go approximately three blocks and bear left onto Hwy 147/178. Travel approximately seven miles and Georgia State Prison will be on your right.
