MISSION:

Ensure public safety and effectively house offenders while operating a safe and secure facility. Also, house general population medium security offenders due to their sentence, offense or behavior. Contains a 176 bed Mental Health Unit, a 192 bed, Pre-Transitional Unit is a functional part of the facility and an 18 bed infirmary/Crisis Stabilization Unit. Host facility for Bainbridge PSATC, Pelham PRC and Southwest PDC.

HOUSING:

Six buildings have two living units per building containing 48 double-bunked cells each. Building seven consists of four individual dormitories with 98 per dormitory. The eighth building contains one 85 double-bunked segregation living unit and one 47 single-bunked isolation living unit.

DIRECTIONS:

Take I-75 South approximately 58 miles to Exit 99, GA-300/GA-FLA PKWY at Cordele. Turn RIGHT onto GA-300 S/GEORGIA-FLORIDA PKWY, toward ALBANY, approximately 36 miles. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto CLARK AVE/US-82/GA-300/GA-520/CORRIDOR Z/S GEORGIA PKWY for about 1.5 miles. Merge onto US-19 S/GA-3 S/GA-300 S/GEORGIA-FLORIDA PKWY and travel south for approximately 31 miles. Just past mile marker nine, turn left onto Mt. Zion Church Road. Autry State Prison is approximately 1 mile on the right.
