What is Research and Evaluation?
Research and Evaluation is a component of Risk Reduction Services
responsible for supporting current program
initiatives as well as determining their
value in reducing recidivism
Profile of Research and Evaluation
- Ensures the effectiveness of current programming
through evaluation and assessment processes
- Provides strategic and operational planning
in the development of evaluation and performance
measures for program components
- Coordinates with external research professionals
in conducting outcome and process evaluations
- Works in an advisory capacity with each
programmatic area in Risk Reduction Services
Research and Evaluation evaluates sites for outcome measurements
based on research-based programs indicating change in:
- Intermediate Measures:
- Technical Violations
- Disciplinary Reports
- Grievances
- Drug Screens
- Long Range Measure:
Research and Evaluation also provides current program data of enrollments,
completions, terminations, etc. for use as
a quality assurance measure, as well
as a basis for budgeting in the following
areas:
- Academic Education
- Workforce Development
- Cognitive-Behavioral
- Substance Abuse
