Victims of crime often continue to need services long after their offender has been convicted and sentenced. The Georgia Department of Corrections Victim Services office is here to offer post conviction support and assistance to crime victims. It is the mission of the Office of Victim Services to ensure the rights and concerns of crime victims are recognized and protected during the correctional process.

The Office of Victim Services serves as a point of contact within corrections that is sensitive to the needs of crime victims. Through this office crime victims or their family members can receive assistance with any of the following:
Notification to Crime Victims
Victims registered with the Georgia Department of Corrections to be notified of all release information can expect to receive written notification prior to the offender's release in addition to computer generated telephone notification calls upon the inmates actual release from custody. ...more
